Author Ron LarsonAuthor Ron Larson received his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Colorado and has been a professor of mathematics at the Pennsylvania State University since 1970.

He has been the lead author of over 40 texts from middle school through college. He is the lead author of over two dozen McDougel Littell and Houghton Mifflin textbooks from grade 6 through Calculus.

Ron Larson is one of the pioneers in the use of multimedia to enhance the learning of mathematics. He has authored over 40 software titles since 1990 including Larson's Elementary Math, Larson's Intermediate Math, Larson's Middle School Math, Larson's Prealgebra, Larson's Algebra 1, Larson's Algebra 1 with Review, and LarsonMath.com: Prealgebra.
