Problem Solving Try It - Practice
The Problem Solving Try It parallels the Skill Building Try It, except that your child must correctly answer two word problems. The multi-step format of these problems prevents your child from just performing an operation to get the final answer. He or she must employ specific problem solving strategies, such as Use a Verbal Model and Draw a Diagram, to interpret and solve the problem.
