A Glossary is available at all times to help you spell words and look up definitions. A definition often includes a diagram or an example to illustrate the term.

Strategies/Models

The Strategies tool provides example problems to illustrate common problem solving strategies, such as Draw a Diagram, Use a Verbal Model, and Guess, Check, and Revise. The Models tool includes a list of where models appear throughout the program. Each item in the list links you directly to the location of the modeling example.

Units of Measure

The Units of Measure tool gives you access to lists of common metric and customary equivalents. It also provides examples of how to convert units within and between the metric and customary systems.

Calculator Hints

Using the Calculator Hints tool, you can access step-by-step keystroke instructions for performing selected tasks on a scientific calculator or a TI-73 graphing calculator. An online calculator allows you to check your work as you progress through the program.
