Multiple Assessment Formats

The assessments included in LarsonMath.com: Prealgebra evaluate students at every level of the program to ensure adequate yearly progress. In addition, you can use the Classroom Management System (CMS) to create custom tests to meet any specific assessment needs.

By answering problems in the assessments, students gain experience with varied problem formats, including click and drag, free response, and multiple choice.

Pre-Tests and Post-Tests

Built-in Pre-Tests and Post-Tests for each module are a great way to assess prior knowledge and to document student improvement. The program can use the results of a Pre-Test to automatically adjust students' progress through a topic.

The Module Test is similar to a chapter test and includes a series of 10 skill and problem-solving questions covering all assigned topics in a module.

Cumulative Test

The Cumulative Test for each module includes 20 questions that familiarize students with the multiple choice format often used for standardized tests. These questions review all previously completed modules.

Using the CMS, you can create and assign a test that covers two or three modules, or even a state-specific test that evaluates your students' mastery of your state standards. Students can access Custom Tests on the Tests tab at any time.
